Urgent Help

Leapers is a peer-support community, and cannot provide support beyond friendly guidance.

If you feel at risk, in danger or of immediate help, please use one of the services below

If you don't feel you can keep yourself safe right now, seek immediate help:

  • Go to any Accident & Emergency (A&E) department.
  • Call 999 and ask for an ambulance to take you to A&E.
  • Ask someone else to call 999 for you or take you to A&E.

If you need urgent support but don't want to go to A&E, you could:

  • call Samaritans on freephone 116 123 – they're always open and are there to listen
  • contact your GP surgery and ask for an emergency appointment
  • contact NHS 111 (England) or NHS Direct 0845 46 47 (Wales)

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or out of control, you might want to try different methods of calming yourself down.

If you're not feeling in crisis, but want to access professional support:

  • The Mind Infoline can help you to find out what services are available in your area.
  • You can call them on 0300 123 3393 email [email protected] or text 86463. They are open 9am-6pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Visit the Mind UK site for a wide range of options and support services.
